Sheryl is a Reiki Master Teacher of the Usui Reiki Ryoho method, following the teachings of Mikao Usui. (founder of the Usui System of Reiki.)  She is a member of the Long Island Reiki Connection, a non-profit organization of Reiki Practitioners which promotes Reiki within our communities and is dedicated to spreading the Joy of Reiki.

She is one of the founding members of the Shelter Animal Reiki Association known as S.A.R.A. (See the page “Shelters.”)

Sheryl is a volunteer for Forgotten Friends of Long Island, a newer organization that is dedicated to rescuing the neediest animals from municipal shelters. This completely volunteer-run organization makes sure these overlooked animals receive the medical care they so desperately need. When they are recovered and healthy, Forgotten Friends finds them loving forever homes!

Sheryl has experience in Reiki for most kinds of animals including cats, dogs, rabbits, birds and horses.

Sheryl has been married to her husband, Michael, for thirteen years.  She has a son and daughter, as well as two stepsons, and three 4-legged “children.” (See photos at left.)
